The Central Community College volleyball team defeated Southeast Community College, 3-1, on Wednesday night in Lincoln, NE.
The Raiders stumbled the first set, losing it 25-23 in a close finish. The Raiders showed phenomenal drive and bounce back ability to have strong performances in the following three sets, winning by scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-19.
Marin Reilly led CCC with 21 kills and 4 aces. Libbie Ball tallied 42 assists while Liv Swanson also had an impressive performance 15 kills and 11 digs herself.
"It's always good to get a region win on the road," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "We weren't very clean in set one and had too many errors. I was pleased with our resolve and how we responded in the remaining sets. "
The Raiders move to 12-9 and are in action next vs. Highland CC (Kansas) and Northeast CC on Oct. 4 at Raider Fieldhouse.
