The Central Community College golf team defeated the York College JV, 323-448, on Tuesday at Elks Country Club in Columbus.

Four Freshman led the way for the Raiders as Andrew Sahling was the top golfer with a 79. Right behind was Blake Barner and Jack Lubischer, who both finished at 81. First year golfer Brett Downing carded an 82 as did sophomore Dolton Jerabek. Rounding out the list was sophomore Colby Puck, who finished with an 87.

"I am really happy with the lower scores by all six of the guys," said head coach Warren Kuhl. "They played really solid golf with only one or two errors. We are working hard to continue the improvement."

The Raiders will resume play at the two-day McCook Invitational on Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8. Tee times at Heritage Hills Golf Course are 12 noon on Thursday and 9 a.m. on Friday.
