Golf: Midland University Invitational Recap

The Central Community College golf team finished in 8th place at the Midland University Invitational at the Fremont Country Club on Tuesday.

The Raiders shot a combined 358. Individually, Colin Springer (pictured) was CCC's top golfer as he shot an 87. Dalton Jerabek was one stroke behind at 88, while Darian Hutto finished with an 89. Jared Engel carded out a 94. Christian Jewel had to withdraw due to injury.

"After playing very well in Monday's dual with Mount Marty, we slipped back into some bad habits and did not play well at Midland," said CCC head coach Warren Kuhl. "One bright spot was that Colin Springer shot his best round."

The Raiders are off until April 19 when they take part in the two-day Southeast Community College Invitational. Tee time is set for 12 noon.
