Central Community College men's golf is pleased to announce the signing of Blake Barner, a senior at North Platte High School.

Barner is a two-year letter winner in golf and posted scoring averages of 86 as a freshman and 85 as a sophomore. He played football for the Bulldogs and earned academic all-state honors in 2020 and academic all-conference honors as a junior and senior. Barner was also a member of the North Platte basketball squad.

"Blake's credentials in high school is what we are looking for to get our program rebuilt," said CCC head coach Warren Kuhl. "We want to get to the national tournament and Blake improves our chances right now."

Barner will be an academic transfer major at CCC. He is the son of Jeff and Becky Barner of North Platte.
