The Central Community College volleyball team posted season-opening wins over Southwestern community College and Cloud County Community College in a triangular at the Raider Fieldhouse. A recap of each match is below. CCC is 2-0 and will take part in the Marriott Invitational at Northeast Community College on Friday and Saturday. The Raiders will battle the Mount Marty University JV at 2 p.m. on Friday and Western Iowa Tech Community College at 6 p.m. On Saturday, CCC will take on the Doane University JV at 11 a.m.

Match 1: CCC 3  Southwestern Community College 0

The Raiders shut out the Spartans, 3-0. The final scores were 25-15, 25-19 and 25-13. Olivia Swanson led CCC with eight kills while Libbie Ball registered 30 assists. Swanson and Ali Miller each totaled eight digs.

Match 2: CCC 4  Cloud County Community College 1

The Raiders and the Thunderbirds swapped wins in the opening two sets of the match. CCC took the first set, 25-21, while CCCC posted a 25-18 victory in the second game. The Raiders closed out the match with a pair of wins – 25-22 and 25-20. Chelsea Fisher was tops in kills with 14 with Swanson right behind with 13. Ball tallied 45 assists and Miller recorded 20 digs.
