The Central Community College men's soccer team defeated York College JV, 2-1, on Wednesday in York.
The Raiders got on the board six minutes into the contest as Dayethan Nelson found the back of the net off the assist of Rafael Medrano for a 1-0 lead. There was no scoring for the reminder of the half. The Panthers evened the game at 1-1 with a goal in the 57th minute. Central broke the tie in the 70th minute when Yeysen Marino-Chavez scored a goal with Ivan Lopez on the assist to make it a 2-1 score. The Raiders were able to hold off York to secure the win.
CCC goalie Rasmus Berg faced a pair of shots and posted one save.
With the win, CCC evened its season record at 3-3.
