Danica Schaefer is in her fourth year at Central Community College as an assistant coach.
Schaefer had a standout career for the Raiders from 2016 to 2018 which was capped off by earning NJCAA Division II All-American honors. She was named All-Region 9, Academic All-Region 9, Region-9 Offensive Player of the Year, and 2nd team NJCAA Academic All-American along with winning the Region 9 title in 2018.
After graduating from CCC with an associate of science degree, Schaefer graduated from Wayne State College with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2020 and a master’s degree in organizational management in sports and recreation in 2022.
Schaefer was part of CCC’s most successful season (2022-2023) in program history where they won their second consecutive Region 9 championships and the most wins in a single season.
She currently works at the Columbus Fieldhouse as the operations assistant along with being the athletic director for Immanuel Lutheran School.
