Sharon Vanis was a two-sport athlete at Platte Campus, earning All-Region IX volleyball honors in 1982 and All-district honors in basketball in 1983.  Sharon later returned to Central as a coach for basketball and volleyball and led her 1992 Volleyball team to a NJCAA National tournament.
