Loyal fan, avid sports enthusiast, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather are just a few of the words to describe Bud Owens.  His passion for all sports, especially volleyball at the Columbus Campus, had a great impact on the students, fans and coaches that were touched by his presence.  For 26 years, Bud’s association with Raider basketball and volleyball as a dedicated fan had a significant bearing on the success of the programs, especially volleyball.  “Jack, Queen, King” and “Let’s Go Raiders, Git’R Done”, can still be heard from the top row of the Fieldhouse bleachers where Bud was a permanent fixture at home volleyball games.  The many miles traveled to home and away volleyball games and the financial support to Raider athletics will forever be appreciated by Central Community College. Bud Owens’ kindness, generosity, and extraordinary spirit left a tremendous impression on the hearts of many in his Raider Family.
