Volleyball: Sophomores Go Out Winners

The Central Community College volleyball defeated North Platte Community College, 3-2, on Thursday at the Raider Fieldhouse.

Before the match, sophomores Chelsea Fisher (pictured right), Halie Kaslon (left) and Katee Korte (center) were recognized.

The Knights won a close first set, 25-22, which was answered by the Raiders in the second set, 25-18. CCC gained the upper hand in the third set with a 25-22 win before NPCC tied the match at two games a piece with a 27-25 victory in the fourth set. The fifth set was equally close, but the Raiders prevailed, 16-14, to win the match.

Josie Bentz totaled 19 kills and five blocks while Lauryn Scott finished with 15 kills. Libbie Ball dished out 56 assists. Kaslon and Ali Miller each tallied 21 digs and Olivia Swanson served up three aces.

The victory gives the Raiders a record of 20-8.
