Volleyball: Raiders Sign Ewing Star

Central Community College volleyball is pleased to announce the signing of Miranda Summers, a senior at Ewing High School.

Summers led the Tigers to the 2018 NSAA Class D-2 championship game and was named to the Omaha World-Herald 2nd Team, the Lincoln Journal-Star Tournament Team and the Norfolk Daily News All-Area Elite 1st Team. The setter tallied 2,236 digs, 841 aces and 120 aces during her EHS career.

"We are so excited to have Miranda in the CCC volleyball program," said CCC head coach Mary Young. "Miranda has been well coached at Ewing and led her team to great heights. She certainly knows how to win. Miranda's competitive spirit and grit are the characteristics you like to see in a setter and she is just a tremendous addition to our program."

Summers also participates in basketball and track and field at EHS.

Summers plans to major in elementary education at CCC. She is the daughter of Mike and Tammy Summers of Ewing.
