Central Community College women's basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Megan Young, a senior from Olathe High School in Olathe, Colo.

Young averaged 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game for the Pirates. She scored a season-high 27 points against Roaring Fork High School on February 3. For the season, Young shot 40 percent from the floor, 29 percent from three-point range and 48 percent at the free throw line. Following the season, she earned First Team all-league honors.

"Megan will bring a different dynamic to our team because she is able to play both the point and shooting guard positions," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. "She also brings an intensity on defense that will help us be more successful."

Young will major in nursing at CCC. She is the daughter of Doug and Michelle Young of Olathe, Colo.
