Women’s Basketball: Maddy Wolfe Signs with NWU

Central Community College women's basketball forward Maddy Wolfe has signed with Nebraska Wesleyan University, an NCAA Division III program.

As a sophomore, Wolfe started in all 29 CCC games and averaged 15 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. She shot 38 percent from the floor, 15 percent shooting from three-point range and 58 percent at the free throw line. Following the season, Wolfe was named to the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference (NCCAC) All-Conference team.

"Maddy did a great job for us this year and did a good job improving each and every day," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. "I am very proud of Maddy for committing to play at Nebraska Wesleyan.  It will be nice to see one of our own continuing to play on.

As a freshman, Wolfe played in every game and was named to the Region IX All-Tournament team.

The Raiders finished the 2017-18 season with a mark of 9-21 following an appearance in the Region IX Tournament championship game.

Nebraska Wesleyan posted a 14-11 record for the 2017-18 campaign. The 14 wins is the most for the Prairie Wolves in a single season since 2000-01.

"We are really excited that Maddy is joining our program," said NWU head coach Sam Dixon. "Her energy, skill, and personality will be a tremendous asset to our team and program. Maddy is such a versatile player and she can play several positions, which makes her very valuable to our system."

Nebraska Wesleyan University is a member of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
