Women’s Basketball: Raiders Big at Free Throw Line

The Central Community College women's basketball team attempted a season-high 53 free throws in a 91-79 win over Little Priest Tribal College at Raider Fieldhouse. Monday night's game was CCC final regular season contest.

The Warriors held the lead over the Raiders through the first three quarters before the Raiders were able to move ahead in the final stanza.

Payton Blanke scored 23 points to lead CCC in scoring, with 13 points made at the free throw line. Maddy Wolfe recorded a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Quenshae Love rounded out the double-digit scoring with 18 points.

The victory gives the Raiders a final regular season mark of 8-20.

On Wednesday, CCC will host North Platte Community College in the first round of the Region IX Tournament. The Raiders swept the Lady Knights in both regular season meetings. 71-67 was the final in the first game at North Platte on Jan. 13, while 70-66 was the final in the second meeting in Columbus on Feb. 9. Tip-off for Wednesday night's playoff meeting is set for 7 p.m. at Raider Fieldhouse.
