Women’s Basketball: Lady Storm Defeat Raiders

The Central Community College women's basketball team lost at Southeast Community College, 92-60, on Sunday afternoon in Beatrice. The game had originally been scheduled for Saturday, but inclement weather forced a one-day delay.

The Lady Storm scored 28 points in the first and second quarters en route to a 56-37 halftime lead. The Raiders struggled in the third quarter when they scored only eight points, which allowed the Lady Storm to coast to the win.

Quenshae Love scored 17 points to lead three CCC players in double figures. Payton Blanke scored a dozen points, while Maddy Wolfe scored 10 points.

With the loss, the Raiders go to 7-20 on the season.

On Monday night, CCC will close out the regular season by hosting Little Priest Tribal College. The Raiders will try to avenge a 67-66 loss to the Warriors on Valentine's Day in Winnebago. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. at Raider Fieldhouse.
