Softball: Raiders Outscore Bulldogs 25-6

The Central Community College softball team swept the Concordia University JV on Wednesday in a pair of games at Seward.

The double-header opened with the Raiders posting a 12-1 victory. CCC was up 5-0 after two innings and added another five runs in the top of the sixth inning. Kaylee McNeese belted a homerun and three RBIs while McKinna Moats smacked a homer and logged two RBIs. CCC hurler Addison Heule was the winning pitcher.

The CCC bats didn't skip a beat from the first game to the second in a 13-5 win. The Raiders led the Bulldogs, 7-4 after four innings before adding six more runs in the top of the fifth. Moats totaled two homeruns and four RBIs while Kenzie Bonner recorded a homerun and two RBIs. Caroline Riffer tallied three stolen bases and CCC pitcher Kailee Pollard picked up the win.

"We've been struggling winning two games while we're out," said CCC head coach Caitlin Simon, whose team is 9-8. "Hopefully, these wins will carry into our region games on Sunday."

The Raiders will host Southeast Community College in Sunday's double-header at Raider Field. The first game starts at 2 p.m. and the second at 4 p.m.
