The Central Community College softball team lost both games of a double-header at Southwestern (Iowa) Community College on Friday. A recap of both games is below. The Raiders are 15-21.

Game 1: Southwestern Community College 5  Central Community College 4

The Raiders looked to be in good shape for win as they led 4-2 after six-and-a-half innings. However, the Spartans scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to claim a 5-4 victory. The Raiders posted 10 runs in the game. Bailey Jones scored a pair of runs while Alli Hartman and Caroline Riffer scored one run apiece. CCC pitcher Kailee Pollard went the distance in taking the loss.

Game 2: Southwestern Community College 12  Central Community College 1

The Spartans scored all 12 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and went on to the 12-1 win. Riffer scored CCC's run off Andrea Fernandez's RBI. Three CCC pitchers saw time in the circle with Payten Gibson taking the loss.
