The Central Community College Raiders and the Southwestern Community College Spartans each logged a shutout in a double-header in Creston, Iowa, on Friday, April 22.

In the opener, the Spartans took advantage of CCC miscues and 10 Raider runners left stranded en route to the victory. Sophomore Jayd Roberts took the loss, which gives her a mark of 11-11.

The Raiders owned game two by recording 16 hits over five innings. Sophomore Carsen Nelson recorded the win, her first of the season.

CCC is now 17-28 on the season and will next travel to Hastings College, weather permitting, for a double-header against the JV squad on Tuesday, April 26.
