Men’s Soccer: Raiders Win Overtime Thriller

Charlie Orsler kicked the game-winning goal eight minutes into overtime to lift the Raiders to a 2-1 victory over Southeast Community College. Lorenzo Cardoso and Archie Alvarez assisted.

The contest remained scoreless until the 85th minute when the Storm scored the first goal, giving them a 1-0 advantage with time running out. Four minutes later, CCC's Max Devine knotted the game at 1-1 when he found the back of the net with Syrus Conolly on the assist. The deadlock remained intact through the end of regulation and into overtime until Orsler broke the tie to secure the 2-1 win.

The Raiders outshot the Storm, 17-4. CCC goalies Rodolfo Ramirez and Rasmus Berg combined for two saves.

"The guys stepped up," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "They were down by a goal with five minutes left and they did really well to tie it before time ran out."

The win evens CCC's season mark at 5-5 heading into Saturday's contest at Pratt (Kan.) Community College. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
