Men’s Soccer: Allen County Outlasts CCC

The Central Community College men's soccer team lost to Allen County (Kan.) Community College, 1-0, on Saturday at Raider Field.

The game was a defensive chess match as neither team was able to score until the 87th minute when Allen County's Romario Tomlinson broke the stalemate. Tomlinson found the back of the net with Olomidara Olukayode on the assist for the 1-0 lead. Time ran out on the Raiders and the Red Devils left town with the one-goal victory.

CCC goalies Rasmus Berg and Rodolfo Ramirez combined for a dozen saves.

"The result was not what we wanted but overall, the team had a good performance," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "The game was even and back and forth. If we would have put the chances that we had in the goal, the game would have gone in our favor."

The 4-5 Raiders will be back at Raider Field on Wednesday to host Southeast Community College. Kickoff is set for 12 noon.
