Men’s Soccer: Raiders Rout Rustlers

The Central Community College men's soccer team posted a 4-0 win over Central Wyoming College at Raider Field on Saturday.

Niklas Thiel opened the scoring with a goal in the 27th minute with Juan Rodriguez assisting to take a 1-0 lead, which held through halftime. Six minutes into the second half, Abdul Juma found the back of the next for a 2-0 advantage with Israel Robledo on the assist. Rodriguez extended the CCC lead to 3-0 in the 57th minute with Thiel providing the assist. Yeysen Marino-Chavez capped the scoring with a goal in the 64th minute with Billy Allison making the assist.

"Overall, the team did a good job of finding the space that the opponent was giving us," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "It took some time to score the chances that we were creating, but once we did the goals started coming. It is always a good game when you get a win, don't get scored on and everyone on the roster gets to play."

CCC goalie Rodolfo Ramirez totaled one save on the afternoon.

With the win, the Raiders are 1-0 on the season.
