Men’s Soccer: Hesston Shuts Out CCC

The Central Community College men's soccer team lost to Hesston College, 2-0, at Raider Field on Wednesday.

Following a scoreless first half, Hesston's Mo Bushra scored the game's first goal in the 60th minute with Ethan Presas on the assist. Fourteen minutes later, Hesston's Patrick Uwimana found the back of the net with Presas making his second assist. The Raiders were unable to score and the Larks left town with a 2-0 victory. CCC netminder Rasmus Berg recorded four goals.

"This game was a tough loss for us as we controlled the possession and had some chances that we couldn't put in the back of the net," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "At the end of the day, the winner is decided by who scores the most goals and they scored two more than us."

With the loss, CCC drops to 4-5.

The Raiders return to action on Saturday at home against Allen County (Kan.) Community College. The Red Devils are 6-3 on the season following a 3-2 win over Crowder College on Wednesday. Saturday's game time is set for 3:30 p.m. at Raider Field.
