Central Community College men's basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Jayden Byabato, a graduate of Grand Island Senior High School.

"It will be a good experience for me and all of my teammates," said Byabato. "It will be a good season."

Byabato averaged 14.0 and 3.0 rebounds per game during his senior season, earning Lincoln Journal-Star All-State Honorable Mention honors. The Islanders finished the season 17-8.

"I'm excited for Jayden to be a part of our team," said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf. "He is a good defender and will provide immediate help in the backcourt with his ability to handle the ball and run a team as point guard. He finishes well around the basket and is very effective with his midrange jumper."

Byabato is undecided on a major. He is the son of Jenna Byabato of Grand Island.
