Men’s Basketball: Raiders Are Region IX Champs

Tre'vion Crawford scored 31 points to lead Raiders past Southeast Community College, 94-79, in the Region IX championship game on Saturday at Raider Fieldhouse.

The first half was close as the Raiders held a slim one-point advantage at halftime, 33-32. In the second half, the CCC defense clamped down and the Raiders built a 20-point advantage, the largest of the game. CCC won the rebounding battle, 48-35.

CCC's Cooper Pratt scored 20 points, while Roman Behrens scored 17 points, all of which were scored in the second half. Nathan Frost logged a double-double with 10 points and a dozen rebounds.

The win is the seventh consecutive for the Raiders, who are 20-10 on the season.

CCC advances to the district round and will take on the winner of Sunday's Region XIII title game between Dakota County Technical College and United Tribes Technical College. Complete details will be posted as soon as possible.
