Men’s Basketball: CCC Wins In Double OT

The Central Community College men's basketball team posted a 109-100 double-overtime win at Southeast Community College on Saturday.

CCC's Cooper Pratt nailed a three-point bucket to tie the game at 84 apiece, forcing the first overtime session.

The Raiders had a shot to win the game at the end of the first extra session, but a turnover nixed a potential half-court attempt and the score was deadlocked at 93.

CCC scored a pair of three-point baskets early in the second overtime and went on to outscore SCC, 16-9, to take the victory.

"I was really proud of how we stepped up and made plays late in the game when it mattered most," said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf. "Tre'vion Crawford didn't have a great game but he saved his best for late in the game, hitting some huge shots in the overtimes."

Nathan Frost led the way with a double-double of 25 points and 19 rebounds. Crawford scored 21 points, while Pratt tallied 17 points. Roman Behrens scored 16 points and dished out eight assists, while Dwight Glover and Tre Mikkelsen rounded out the double-digit scoring with 13 points each.

CCC is now 18-10 on the season, having won five consecutive games.

CCC closes the regular season on Friday night with a Region IX home contest against North Platte Community College. The Raiders defeated the Knights in the season's first meeting, 72-68, in North Platte. Friday's game at Raider Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m.
