Central Community College men's basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Hakeem Odunsi, a graduate of Iowa City West High School.

Odunsi averaged 5.3 points and 3.0 rebounds per game and shot 43 percent from three-point range during his senior campaign. In the Iowa 4-A state tournament semi-final game, the small forward scored a season-high 18-points. Prior to the 2017-18 season, the Des Moines Register included Odunsi among its list of potential NCAA Division I recruits.

"The addition of Hakeem gives us a lot of flexibility," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "He comes from a storied program that has won several state titles in Iowa. Hakeem won a state championship as a junior and was runner up as a senior. Hakeem can play multiple positions on the floor and is a great passer. With focus and consistent effort, he will be a great player for us."

Odunsi will be an academic transfer at CCC.
