Three members of the Central Community College men's basketball team have received post-season honors by the Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference (NCCAC).

Freshmen Malik Mooving and Latrell Talley were named to the NCCAC All-Conference team, while sophomore Bennett Nelson was named Honorable Mention.

Mooving played in 28 games and averaged nearly 20 points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game. He shot 43 percent from the floor, 35 percent from three-point range and 74 percent at the free throw line. Mooving scored 25 or more points 11 times throughout the season and scored a season-high 32 points against Hastings JV.

"Malik has had some huge scoring nights," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "With the loss of Jaxon Simons during the season, he really elevated his scoring. Malik serves as our primary ball handler so he has a lot of pressure to do different things for us to be successful. We needed him to have a good game for us to win most nights.

Talley led the Raiders in field goal shooting at 59 percent. He was also a 70 percent free throw shooter and averaged 13 points and nine rebounds per game.

"Latrell has been an excellent player for us all year," said Drymon. He has had some very big games in both scoring and rebounding. Latrell is very quiet, but he competes hard. He has only scratched the surface with how good he can become."

Nelson started in all 31 games for the Raiders, averaging nine points per game and five rebounds per game. He logged a pair of double-doubles during the season. The first was against Mount Marty as Nelson scored 18 points and hauled in 11 rebounds. Against Concordia JV, he scored 17 points and collected 10 boards.

"Bennett has given this program a level of toughness by simply competing in every game'" said Drymon. "He never backs down no matter who the opponent is. Bennett has improved tremendously in his two years here and is another example of guys we have had from small-town Nebraska who turned into a very good player for us."

CCC is 15-16 on the season following a 98-90 win at Southeast Community College on Sunday to win the Region IX Tournament.
