Men’s Basketball: Storm Reigns on Raiders

The Central Community College men's basketball team lost at Southeast Community College on Sunday in Beatrice, 88-71. Originally set for Saturday, the game was moved to Sunday due to inclement weather.

The Storm rolled to a 46-36 halftime lead and continued the momentum in the second half. CCC was held to 33 percent shooting and was outrebounded 41-35.

"Southeast played with more intensity than we did," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "We have to focus on details and effort more to be successful."

The win gives the Storm the right to host the Raiders on Saturday, March 3, for the Region IX Tournament championship game. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

Before that, the 13-16 Raiders will close out the regular season on Monday night with a home game against Little Priest Tribal College. CCC will go for the season sweep after taking a 102-97 double-overtime win on Valentine's Day. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at Raider Fieldhouse.
