Men’s Basketball: CCC Cooks McCook

The Central Community College men's basketball team halted a two-game slide with a convincing 99-85 win over visiting McCook Community College on Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders kept ahead of the Indians on the strength of 60 percent field goal shooting, while holding MCC to 38 percent shooting. CCC posted a 43-37 lead at halftime and went on to the 14-point victory.

Zack Rice-Gordon logged a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Raiders. Latrell Talley scored 17 points, while Malik Mooving poured in 16 points. Rounding out CCC's double digit scorers were Bennett Nelson and Garrett Sittner, who scored 15 and 10 points, respectively.

With the win, the Raiders are now 11-14 on the season.

Up next, CCC will travel to Winnebago to take on Little Priest Tribal College. The contest will take place at the Winnebago Public School Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
