CCC Battles Back Against Brown Mackie

The Raiders erased a nine-point deficit by outscoring the Lions 28-14 in the final minutes of the game to secure a 95-90 victory at Raider Fieldhouse.

"I am really proud of this team's resiliency," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "Each time this group has been challenged they seem to find a way to fight back. Being down 76-67 late in the game and then having a strong finish to the game exemplifies this."

CCC sophomore Ruben Fuamba recorded a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Logan Fleming the Raiders in scoring with 18 points, while Jerome Dixon added 17 points. Kaleb Johnson and Deon Tabb rounded out the double-digit scoring with 14 points apiece.

All five Brown Mackie starters finished with double-figure scoring, led by Amariontez Ivory with 22 points. Sam Smith was next with 15 points, while Devin Schuler chipped in 13 points. Stacey Whitt and Darrell Watson scored 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

The Raiders are now 8-3 on the season and will return to action on Friday night at McCook Community College. CCC will look to avenge an 84-80 loss to the Indians earlier this month. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
