A strong shooting performance helped the Central Community College men's basketball team get by Hastings JV, 79-72, at Raider Fieldhouse. The Raiders shot 46 percent from the floor (26-56) and 90 percent at the free throw line (18-20), which helped offset being outrebounded by the Broncos, 52-38. CCC's defense also had a strong performance, forcing 16 Hastings turnovers.

Logan Flemming led the Raiders with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Jerome Dixon and Marco Fabietti respectively added 14 and 12 points. Zach Kitten was the leader for the Broncos with 18 points and a dozen rebounds. Troy Gilligan also scored 18 points, while Ben Wahlberg chipped in 11 points.

With the win, CCC is now 2-0 on the season.
