Esports: Season Recap and Playoff Preview

Call of Duty 4v4: Captained by Jackson Peabody, CCC's Call of Duty 4v4 roster looks as strong as ever with Ayden Veik, Ethan Bryant and Caleb Smith on the list. The group finished the NJCAAe spring tier 1 regular season with a perfect 5-0 record, including a flawless 15-0 map record.

The Raiders got off to a good start in the regional portion of the playoffs, starting with a 3-0 victory over Guilford Technical Community College in the quarterfinals. The match was a must-win bout that secured CCC's spot in the national playoffs. The regional playoffs continued with a 3-0 victory against Trinity Valley Community College in the semifinals, followed by a 3-1 win over the defending champion Blinn College in the finals.

The triumph over Blinn gives the Raiders the top seed in the national playoffs. Action begins this evening with the national semifinals and a rematch against Trinity Valley. The contest will be streamed at Twitch TV starting at 6 p.m.

Call of Duty: 2v2 Gunfight: Peabody and Veik returned this season to take another shot at the NJCAAe tier 1 Call of Duty: Gunfight national title. The so-called "dynamic duo" took a big step toward that goal by compiling an 8-1 regular season record.

CCC opened the regional quarterfinals with a 3-0 win over Dallas College North Lake in a must-win match to qualify for the national bracket. In the regional semis, the Raiders shut out Hutchinson Community College, 3-0, followed by a highly anticipated matchup against Iowa Western Community College in the final. This time, the Raiders defeated the Reivers, 3-1.

Once again, CCC Call of Duty is the top spot in the nation heading into the national playoff. The first match features a rematch with Hutchinson on Thursday at 5 p.m. The action will be streamed at Twitch TV.

Call of Duty: 2v2 Warzone: CCC's inaugural season in Warzone competition at the NJCAAe tier 1 level was perfect, literally, as the Raiders posted a 7-0 record. Once again, Peabody and Veik worked in tandem to push for a playoff run.

A bye in the regional quarterfinals set up a meeting with Dallas College North Lake in the semifinals. The Blazers handed the Raiders their first loss of the year, 3-1, in what was described as an "exceptionally well-played match." The loss sent CCC to the regional third-place match against Missouri State University-West Plains. Peabody and Veik bounced back and defeated the Grizzlies, 3-0, to secure the third seed in the upcoming national playoff.

Up first, the Raiders will seek revenge against Dallas College North Lake in the semifinal round on Friday. The match starts at 5 p.m. and a livestream will be available on Twitch TV.
