Lucas Lumbra was named as the first coach of CCC’s inaugural Esports team in April 2022. Before arriving in Columbus, Lumbra worked for Ohio State Esports where he served as an analyst and manager of the Premier Overwatch team. Lumbra guided Premier Overwatch to national rankings and top 16 finishes in both 2019 and 2021.
In 2018, he founded Buckeye Gaming Collective, a student organization at The Ohio State University (OSU) that provides recreational videogaming and entertainment activities to both students and community members.
A December 2021 OSU graduate, Lumbra earned a degree in new media and communication technology with a focus in game studies and esports.
