Women’s Soccer: Storm Reigns on Raiders

The Central Community College women's soccer team lost at Southeast Community College, 5-1, on Wednesday night in Beatrice.

Rylee Eschliman scored the game's first goal in the 48th minute with Hali Eddy on the assist to give CCC a 1-0 lead. The Storm then rattled off five unanswered goals to claim the 5-1 victory. CCC goalie Natalie Crouse made 11 saves.

"We battled hard for 50 minutes and then ran out of gas," said CCC head coach Jamie Bennett. "SCC had one player we couldn't match up with and she was the difference in the game."

Bennett went on to say that his team is struggling when it comes to injuries.

"We take a step forward in getting injured players back and then take two steps back and against Southeast, we simply ran out of players," said Bennett.

The loss drops CCC to 2-7.
