Women’s Soccer: CCC Snaps Losing Skid

The Central Community College women's soccer team shutout Doane University JV, 3-0, on Thursday at the Raider Soccer Complex.

Mei Hou commenced the CCC scoring with an unassisted goal in the 35th minute to put the Raiders up, 1-0.

In the second half, Kaylee Grieser found the back of the net in the 51st minute with Hou providing the assist for a 2-0 CCC lead. Madison Hurst logged the final goal three minutes later with Hou collecting her second assist for the 3-0 victory.

CCC goalie Rachel Willette made five saves on the day

With the win, the Raiders snapped a seven-game losing streak and their record is now 6-10.

"It was nice to get back in the win column," said CCC head coach Jamie Bennett. "The girls have really been putting in some hard work and it finally paid off."

On Monday, CCC will close out the regular season with a road venture against Midland University JV. Kickoff in Fremont is set for 4 p.m.
