Women’s Soccer: CCC Shuts Out Central Wyoming

The Central Community College women's soccer team leveled a 3-0 shutout on Central Wyoming College on Saturday at the Raider Soccer Complex.

CCC's Kaylee Grieser scored the game's first goal in the first minute off the assist of Mei Hou for the 1-0 lead. In the 28th minute, Hou and Grieser swapped rolls on a goal and the Raiders extended the lead to 2-0. The score remained 2-0 at halftime.

The scoring was quiet until the 72nd minute when Madison Garrow scored her second goal of the season, giving the Raiders the 3-0 victory.

CCC netminder Rachel Willette made three saves on the day.

"The team really bounced back well from the loss on Friday," said CCC head coach Jamie Bennett. "We just need to try to carry that momentum going forward."

With the win, the Raiders are now 5-3 on the season.

Up next, CCC travels to Northeastern Junior College for a Friday match. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.
