The Central Community College women's basketball team lost at Southeast Community College, 83-52, at Beatrice on Saturday.
The Storm set the tone early by outscoring the Raiders in the first quarter, 24-9. Central bested Southeast in the second quarter, 17-12, to trail 36-26 at the half. The Storm had a strong second half to pick up the win.
"Southeast got in their shooting rhythm in the third and fourth quarters and we just could not overcome their scoring runs," said CCC head coach Billy Perkins.
Nyamiri Blair led CCC with 17 points, while Bailey Lehr hauled in 10 rebounds.
With the loss, the Raiders are 3-10 on the season.
CCC will resume action on Friday with a home contest against North Platte Community College. The Raiders will look to avenge an 81-79 loss to the Knights in January. Tipoff for Friday's game is set for 5:30 p.m.
