Softball: Anderson and Kaskie Sign With CCC

Central Community College softball is pleased to announce the signings of Haley Anderson, a senior at La Vista South High School, and Kami Kaskie, a senior at Kearney High School.

Anderson (left) is an outfielder who posted a .350 batting average as a senior and logged 21 hits, 13 runs, 13 RBIs and two homeruns. In fielding, she finished 2023 with a .955 fielding percentage. Following the season, Anderson earned All-Metro Coaches Honorable Mention honors. In addition to softball, she also participates in powerlifting for the Titans.

"On top of being a great teammate and person, Haley plays at a highly competitive level and will bring a high softball IQ to the program next year," said CCC head coach Caitlin Simon. "She is a utility type player which will give her many opportunities here at CCC."

Anderson is undecided on a major. She is the daughter of Misty and Greg Anderson of Papillion.

Kaskie (right) played both infield and outfield for the Bearcats and touted a .522 batting average during her senior campaign. She sported a .933 slug percentage and recorded 40 RBIs, 37 runs, 13 doubles and eight homers. Kaskie's fielding percentage was .934.

A four-year varsity letter recipient, Kaskie was named to the All-Heartland Athletic Conference (HAC) squad following her senior season and earned the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association All-State Award. She earned HAC all-academic honors as a junior and senior.

"We're very excited about Kami and her family joining our program," said Simon. "She will bring power and consistency to the lineup and aggressiveness in the outfield."

Kaskie is undecided on a major. She is the daughter of Shawn and Jessie Kaskie of Kearney.
