The Central Community College softball team lost both games of a double-header at Iowa Lakes Community College on Thursday. A recap of both games is below. The Raiders are 15-19 on the season and will travel to Creston, Iowa on Friday for a double-header against Southwestern Community College. Game times are 2 and 4 p.m.

Game 1: Iowa Lakes Community College 12  Central Community College 0 (five innings)

The Lakers scored six runs in the first inning and five in the second and went on to a 12-0 win over the Raiders in five innings. CCC pitcher Kailee Pollard took the loss.

Game 2: Iowa Lakes Community College 9  Central Community College 2

Like they did in the opener, the Lakers got off to a big start in the first inning. This time, Iowa Lakes scored four unanswered runs followed by a single run in second through sixth innings for the 9-2 victory. Katie Paczosa and Caroline Riffer (pictured) each scored a run for CCC while Andrea Fernandez and Kaylee McNeese each tallied a double. Payten Gibson took the loss.
