The Central Community College softball team lost a double-header at North Central Missouri College on Friday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates took the first contest, 5-4, followed by an 11-4 triumph in the second game.
In the opener, the Raiders scored four runs in the second inning and held on to a 4-3 lead until the fifth inning. That's when the Tigers scored a pair of runs and held on for the 5-4 win.
Ragan Wood recorded two RBIs, while Andrea Fernandez and McKinley Josoff each logged one. Lilly Cast took the loss for CCC.
In the second game, NCMO went up 7-0 before CCC scored four runs in the top of the fourth inning. Central was unable to score again, while the Tigers tacked on four more runs for the 11-4 final.
Fernandez logged a pair of RBIs, while Wood and Shianne Willmon each recorded one. Elle Douglas took the loss for CCC.
With the losses, the Raiders drop to 0-4 on the 2021 season.
Up next, CCC will play a double-header at Kansas City Kansas Community College on Saturday afternoon. The games start at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. Both games are closed to the public.
