Softball: Raiders Sign Arcadia Outfielder

Central Community College softball is pleased to announce the signing of Shaylee Chilewski, a 2020 graduate of Arcadia Public Schools.

Chilewski is in her third year playing for the Broken Bow Spirit, a club team. Two years ago, she helped lead the Spirit to the state tournament. Prior to joining the Broken Bow Spirit, Chilewski played for various Arcadia-based club softball teams for several years.

"I am really excited to play softball at Central Community College," said Chilewski. "I can't wait to be part of the team, travel with the team and get to know the girls. I am also excited to still be playing softball."

Chilewski lettered in volleyball and track for the Arcadia-Loup City Rebels. In 2019, she helped lead ALC to the NSAA State Volleyball Tournament in Lincoln.

"Shaylee will be a great addition to our team," said CCC head coach Caitlin Simon. "She comes from a small town that gave her the chance to be a three-sport athlete and experience more than just softball. She is one kid that will be eager to learn and will get better every day because of it."

Chilewski will major in early childhood education at CCC. She is the daughter of Kipp and Jennifer Chilewski of Arcadia.
