Softball: Raiders Sign Willmon and Wimer

Central Community College softball is pleased to announce the signings of Shianne Willmon and Kinsley Wimer.

Willmon (left) is a senior at Holyoke Junior/Senior High School in Holyoke, Colo. She played first base and sports a .486 batting average. Willmon earned all-state honorable mention honors in 2019 and was named to the all-conference team during her senior and junior seasons. She was also selected to play in the 2020 Colorado High School Coaches Association All-State game.

"I am looking forward to competing at a new level and getting to know my teammates," said Willmon, who also participated in basketball and track.

Willmon will be an academic transfer major at CCC. She is the daughter of Shanda Willmon.

"Shianne is a great addition to the Raider family," said CCC head coach Caitlin Simon. "I am looking forward to her making an immediate impact on our program, both on and off the field."

Wimer (right) is a senior at Fort Calhoun High School and sports a career .486 batting average. She logged 88 career hits and posted 10 homeruns, 59 singles and 19 doubles. Wimer earned all-state honorable mention honors as a senior and junior and was named All-Nebraska Capital Conference in 2019 and 2018.

"I am looking forward to continuing playing the sport I love throughout my college years," said Wimer, who also participated in basketball and track. "I am excited to get to know the team and make new friends. I want to continue to learn and grow both as a student and as a player.

Wimer will be a criminal justice major at CCC. She is the daughter of Daniel Judd and Sara Wimer.

"Kinsley signed with CCC with big goals ahead of her," said Simon. "She will be a great addition to the team and school."
