Men’s Soccer: Sophomore Day Shutout

The Central Community College men's soccer team shut out Pratt (Kan.) Community College, 2-0, on Sophomore Day at Raider Field. With the win, CCC completes a two-game season sweep over Pratt.

Donovan Williams commenced the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 17th minute, giving CCC a 1-0 lead. Twenty minutes later, Tobias Sereinig scored an unassisted goal, increasing the lead to 2-0, which turned out to be the final score. CCC goalie Jesse Wubbs tallied two saves.

"The guys played really well and had control of the match throughout," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "It was a great showing in the final home game of the season."

Pulido also gave notice to the sophomores in their final home game performance.

"I am very thankful for all the contributions the sophomores made for the program in their time here," Pulido said.

The win gives the Raiders a 7-6-5 record for the 2023 regular season.
