Men’s Soccer: Raiders Take Down Tigers

The Central Community College men's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 4-2 win over Doane University JV on Thursday.

CCC's Luis Neave scored the first two goals in the 15th and 20th minute, respectively, for a 2-0 lead. Jeremiah Vidale assisted on the first score, while Neave's second goal was unassisted. The Raiders extended the lead to 3-0 in the 40th minute when Guilherme Demhougi found the back of the net off the assist of Tychique Kutalu.

The Tigers scored the first two goals of the second half in the 65th and 70th minute to into CCC's lead, 3-2. The Raiders closed out the scoring in the 88th minute when Vidale scored off Neave's assist for the 4-2 final.

CCC goalie Chris Adame logged four saves.

"It was a great way to round out our home schedule and an excellent afternoon to recognize all of the good things that our sophomores did during their two seasons with us," said CCC head coach Hawken Hanna. "It was also great to get the win with three of the four goals coming from sophomores."

The win gives the Raiders a two-game win streak and a season mark of 9-8-1.

Up next, the Raiders will take part in the Region IX post-season tournament. CCC will find out its opponent is on Saturday night when the rest of the region teams conclude the regular season.
