Men’s Soccer: Raiders Defeat Mustangs

The Central Community College men's soccer team defeated Western Wyoming Community College, 2-1, at the Raider Soccer Complex on Friday afternoon.

CCC scored in the 31st minute as Jorge Moncibais found the back of the net off the assist of Luis Ruiz. In the 61st minute, CCC's Jeremiah Vidale scored an unassisted goal.

"This was a really important win for us to secure our spot in the Region IX standings," said CCC head coach Hawken Hanna. "It was a hard fought game and Western Wyoming did a great job competing and staying in it. I am happy our guys were able to stay strong and hold off some of the runs that Western Wyoming made at the end of the game."

With the win, the Raiders snap a two-game slide and improve to 7-4-1.

CCC returns to the pitch on Saturday afternoon against Laramie County Community College. Game time is set for 1:30 p.m. at the Raider Soccer Complex.
