The Central Community College men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season with a 1-0 home loss to Iowa Lakes Community College on Wednesday. The loss gives the Raiders a 3-1-2 record on the season.
The game remained scoreless until the 72nd minute when ILCC's Charlie Hackshall found the back of the net off the assist of Abel Gebrekiros for the 1-0 lead. CCC could not match the goal and the Lakers sailed out of town with the victory, giving them a 3-2 record.
The Lakers outshot the Raiders 23-11, with CCC net minder Jose Gonzalez logging 10 saves on 11 shots-on-goal.
The Raiders are off until Friday, Sept. 15, when they will host Otero Junior College. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
