
The CCC Men's Basketball went to Mason City, Iowa and played in the NIACC Classic over the weekend. A recap of both matches are below.
Game 1 vs. NIACC Community College
The Raiders were bested by NIACC 81-79 in their first game. The Raiders found themselves down early but fought back to make this game extremely close. With the game tied and mere seconds on the clock, NIACC got a call and got to the free throw line. They made their 2 free throws, thus ending the game. The Raiders were led by Kamron Kasischke and Malual Kong with 16 points apiece. Ethan Wiley tallied 6 assists off the bench, and Kazadi Mukoma Jr. had 6 rebounds.
Game 2 vs. Iowa Lakes Community College
The Raiders were beaten by Iowa Lakes CC 75-76 in another heartbreaker. This game was tight the entire way. In the end we saw Mukoma Jr. get a putback basket to put the Raiders up 2, but Iowa Lakes was able to get the ball up, and complete a half court basket to beat CCC by 1.The Raiders were led by Frank Keller with 17 points 5 assists and 12 rebounds, with Kasischke tacking on a team high 13 rebounds himself.
The Men's Basketball team is back in action on Nov. 26 at McCook Community College
