Men’s Basketball: Raiders Lose in Double OT

The Central Community College men's basketball team lost in double-overtime to Concordia JV, 103-99, on Monday night in Seward.

The game was tied at 82 apiece at the end of regulation and at 90 following the first extra session. The Bulldogs then outscored the Raiders, 13-9, in the second overtime to secure the win.

Following the loss, CCC head coach John Ritzdorf said that his team did not play with enough energy.

"I hope we learned that we can't just show up and beat teams," said Ritzdorf. "We showed some resiliency to come back in the second half, but we didn't deserve to win. We have to learn from it and bounce back."

CCC's Roman Behrens logged a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Nathan Frost led all CCC scorers with 23 points, while Tre'vion Crawford added 22 points. Cooper Pratt rounded out the double-digit scoring with 13 points.

The Raiders are 10-8 on the season.

Up next, CCC will travel to Crete on Thursday to take on Doane University JV. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
