Men's Basketball: CCC Signs Gretna Shooter

Central Community College men's basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Tre' Mikkelsen, a 2019 graduate of Gretna High School.

Mikkelsen helped lead the Dragons to back-to-back NSAA Class B champions in 2016 and 2017. He averaged 13.7 points, four assists and 2.2 rebounds per game. During his junior and senior seasons, Mikkelsen earned all-conference honors and was named Omaha World Herald All-State Honorable Mention.

"CCC is a great environment and it felt like home," said Mikkelsen (left). "I am looking forward to the opportunity to better myself as a player and person."

Mikkelsen shot 42 percent from the floor, 39 percent from three-point range and 68 percent at the free throw line.

"I am excited about what Tre' brings to Central Community College," said CCC head coach John Ritzdorf (right). "He has a great feel for the game and can play multiple guard positions. He is a good and willing passer and has the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter."

Mikkelsen will major in criminal justice at CCC.
