Men's Basketball: Talley Recognized Nationally

Central Community College sophomore center Latrell Talley has been named as the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Division II Basketball Player of the Week.

During the week of Dec. 3-9, Talley recorded a double-double in three games, averaging 14.3 points and 18.3 rebounds. In Saturday's win over Doane JV at the SCC Holiday Classic, he scored 22 points and hauled in 21 boards.

"Latrell deserved this honor after the great week he had," said CCC head coach Jerry Drymon. "He is a great kid who is a difference maker for our program. I look forward to watching him continue to grow as a player."

The Raiders are 4-9 on the season and will host Des Moines Area Community College on Friday. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. at Raider Fieldhouse.
